Avrasya bölgesinin en büyük yükseköğretim zirvesi olan Avrasya Yükseköğretim Zirvesi, (EURIE) 3 Mart 2021 Çarşamba günü başladı. Zirve bu yıl, COVID-19 pandemisi nedeniyle online ortamda düzenleniyor.
Dünyanın en büyük üçüncü, Avrasya bölgesinin ise en büyük yükseköğretim zirvesi olan ve bu yıl altıncısı düzenlenen Avrasya Uluslararası Yükseköğretim Zirvesi, (Eurasian Higher Education Summit – EURIE) 3 Mart 2021 Çarşamba günü dijital ortamda başladı. EURIE 2021, bu yıl “Mesafeleri Kaldırıyoruz!” sloganı ile düzenleniyor.
ZİRVE PANDEMİ NEDENİYLE SANAL ORTAMDA YAPILIYOR
Avrasya Üniversiteler Birliği’nin (Eurasian Universities Union-EURAS) düzenlediği zirveye bu yıl 60’tan fazla ülkeden, 325 eğitim kurumundan 1175 rektör, rektör yardımcısı, akademisyen ve uluslararası eğitim sektöründen uzman katılıyor.
Yerli yazılımcılar tarafından üretilen yüzde 100 yerli sanal platform üzerinden gerçekleşen EURIE 2021’de üç gün boyunca yapılacak online oturumlar Zoom üzerinden de takip edilebilecek.

“TEKNOLOJİ YÜKSEKÖĞRETİMİ FARKLI BİR KONUMA TAŞIDI”
Açılış konuşmasını gerçekleştiren EURAS ve EURIE Genel Başkanı Doç. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, 21’inci yüzyılda bilim ve teknolojinin gelişiminin yükseköğretimi de dünyada bir konuma taşıdığına dikkat çekti. Doç. Dr. Aydın, “Oluşan bu yeni konumda, çağın gerekliliklerine paralel şekilde değişerek ilerleyen üniversiteler, mevcut bilgiye ivme kazandırarak yeni çalışmalara imza atmaya devam etmektedir. Sürdürülebilir kalkınma için gerekli olan nitelikli insan kaynağını oluşturan, yeni dünya sistemine göre insan yetiştiren, endüstriyel dijitalleşmeyi ortaya çıkaran, bilimsel ve teknolojik dönüşümün getirilerini yükseköğretime entegre ederek, sadece bugünün değil, geleceğin nitelikli iş gücünü yetiştiren
üniversiteler, ülkeler için büyük önem arz etmektedir. Bugün biliyoruz ki, dünyada teknolojik gelişmelere yön veren ülkelerin gücü; bilgiyi üreten, teknolojiyi tasarlayan, geliştiren ve uygulayan üniversitelerden gelmektedir. Bu nedenle ülkelerimizin üniversitelerini ne kadar güçlendirirsek ülkelerimizi de o kadar güçlendirmiş oluruz” diye konuştu.
“TEKNOLOJİYİ YÜKSEKÖĞRETİME ENTEGRE EDEN KURUMLAR TERCİH EDİLECEK” Konuşmasında, EURIE kapsamında bu yıl üçüncü defa düzenlenen Imagine Tomorrow etkinliğine de vurgu yapan Doç. Dr. Aydın, “Bugün ayrıca sizleri; inovasyon ve girişimcilik faaliyetlerinde farkındalık oluşturmak amacıyla EURIE bünyesinde bu yıl üçüncü kez düzenlemiş olduğumuz “Imagıne Tomorrow Uluslararası İnovasyon ve Girişimcilik Etkinliği” ile heyecan verici ve ufuk açıcı teknolojilerle tanışmaya davet ediyorum. Pandemi süreci, tüm dünyada yüz yüze eğitimi durma noktasına getirmiş, eğitimde dijitalleşmeyi gerekli kılmış ve bundan sonra eğitimin geleceği ne olacak sorusunu ortaya çıkarmıştır.
Görünen o ki, önümüzdeki süreçte teknolojiyi ve yapay zekayı öğretim süreçlerine entegre edebilen eğitim kurumları daha çok tercih edilecektir” dedi.
“İŞ BİRLİKLERİ ZORUNLULUK OLDU”
Üniversitelerin geleceğe yön verme özellikleri nedeniyle iş birliklerine girmesinin artık seçenek değil bir zorunluluk olduğunun altını çizen Doç. Dr. Aydın, “Üniversiteler arasında yapılan iş birliği protokolleri ile müşterek projeler üretilerek; deneyimleri birbirine aktarmak, araştırma sonuçlarının ortak kullanımını sağlamak ve kültürel iş birliği oluşturmak üniversitelerin gelişim hızlarını da arttıracaktır. Üniversiteler bağımsızlığın, özgürlüğün, baskı altında olmayan beyinlerin, bilimin üretildiği yeni fikir ve düşüncelerin ortaya konulduğu kurumlardır. Bizler, ruhlarımızda bulunan özgürlük ve bağımsızlık duygularını, üniversitelerimiz aracılığı ile kendi topraklarımıza yaymak zorundayız. Bizler, geleceğin mimarları olarak adeta kanserli hücreler gibi tüm dünyaya yayılmaya devam eden pandemi, kaynakların tükenmesi, siyasi çatışmalar, terör, küresel ısınma ve kirlilik gibi sorunlara yapacağımız iş birlikleri ve üreteceğimiz çözümler ile son verebiliriz” diyerek konuşmasını tamamladı.
48 WEBINARDA 142 KONUŞMACI
EURIE-2021’de toplam 48 adet online seminer, konferans, toplantı ve söyleşide, yükseköğretimde uluslararasılaşma ve dijital dönüşüm, dünyada uluslararası öğrenci hareketliliği, yurtdışı eğitim programları, Erasmus+, uluslararası araştırma ve projeler, yükseköğretimde sürdürülebilirlik ve erişim gibi birçok önemli konu, 142 konuşmacı tarafından ele alınacak. Yine zirve kapsamında düzenlenecek sanal yükseköğretim fuarında, 4 salonda 100’e yakın stantta dünya üniversiteleri katılımcılarla buluşacak.
YÜZDE 100 YERLİ SANAL PLATFORM
Ziyaretçiler, yerli yazılımcılar tarafından üretilmiş yüzde 100 yerli sanal platform üzerinde, bir taraftan, birbirinden değerli uluslararası konuşmacıların canlı yayın kalitesindeki sunumlarını ve oturumları takip ederken, diğer taraftan platform üzerinde bulunan sanal fuar alanında tüm katılımcı kurum stantlarını ziyaret ederek, kurum yetkilileriyle online görüntülü görüşme ve bilgi edinme fırsatı yakalayacaklar. Ayrıca tüm ziyaretçiler, platform üzerinde yine sanal olarak oluşturulan Networking alanımızda, diğer tüm katılımcılar ile karşılıklı fikir alışverişinde bulunarak yeni iş birliği fırsatlarını değerlendirecekler. Binlerce ziyaretçiyi aynı anda ağırlama alt yapısına sahip olan zirvede, oturumlar sırasında gerçekleştirilecek canlı oylamalar ve tüm zirve boyunca devam edecek olan anketler vasıtasıyla da ziyaretçi memnuniyeti ve deneyimi en üst seviyeye çıkartılacak. IMAGINE TOMORROW YİNE YATIRIMCIYLA GİRİŞİMCİYİ BULUŞTURACAK
EURIE 2021 kapsamında bu yıl üçüncü defa gerçekleştirilecek olan ‘Imagine Tomorrow Uluslararası Girişimcilik ve İnovasyon Etkinliği’ de, EURIE 2021 gibi tamamen çevrimiçi ortamda gerçekleştirilecek. Geçtiğimiz yıl 200’ün üzerinde başvuru arasından en başarılı 50 girişimi yatırımla buluşturan Imagine Tomorrow, üç gün boyunca, “Imagine Now” konseptiyle yatırımcı ve girişimciyi buluşturacak.
Imagine Tomorrow etkinliğinde, bu yıl, toplam 100’den fazla startup girişiminin arasından seçkin bir jüri tarafından belirlenen 20 girişim ekibi Imagine Tomorrow Final Sahnesi’nde üniversite yöneticileri, girişimciler, genç girişimciler, yatırımcılar, sanayiciler ve birçok uluslararası ziyaretçi karşısında fikirlerini sunacaklar. Etkinlik sonunda girişimciler, kendi start-up şirketleri için yeni fırsatlar yakalama şansı bulacaklar ve aldıkları geri bildirimlerle farklı bakış açıları kazanarak yeni iş birlikleri ve yeni yatırım olanaklarına erişme fırsatı yakalayacaklar.
Eurasia Higher Education Summit (EURIE), the largest higher education summit in the Eurasia region, started on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. The summit is held online this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year EURIE 2021, is organized with the slogan “We Are Eliminating the Distance!”
THE SUMMIT IS HELD VIRTUALLY DUE TO THE PANDEMIC
This year, 1175 rectors, vice-rectors, academicians and experts from the international education sector from more than 60 countries, 325 educational institutions are attending the summit organized by the Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS).
EURIE 2021 is held on 100 percent local virtual platform produced by local software developers and also online sessions which are held for three days can also be followed on Zoom.

“TECHNOLOGY HAS MOVED HIGHER EDUCATION TO A DIFFERENT POSITION”
EURAS and EURIE President Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, who made the opening speech, drew attention to the fact that the technology and science development brought higher education to a different position 21st century world. “In this new location, the universities, which progress by changing in line with the requirements of the age, continue to undertake new studies by accelerating the existing knowledge. Today, we know that the power of countries dominating technological developments comes from universities, which produce information, design technology, develop and implement it. Therefore, “if we strength our countries’ universities, we will strengthen our countries equally” he said.

In his speech, Assoc. Dr. Aydın emphasize that the Imagine Tomorrow event organized for the third time this year within the scope of EURIE. “Today also I invite you to meet exciting and stimulating technologies with “Imagine Tomorrow International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Event”, which we organized for the third time this year within EURIE in order to raise awareness in innovation and entrepreneurship activities. Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Aydın emphasize that collaboration is no longer an option but an obligation due to universities’ future-guiding characteristics. By producing joint projects with cooperation protocols made between universities; to transfer experiences to each other, to ensure the common use of research results and to create cultural cooperation will increase the speed of development of universities. Universities are institutions where we produce independence, freedom, brains that are not under pressure, new ideas and thoughts. We have to spread freedom and independence which are in our souls to our own lands through our universities.
As the architects of the future, we can terminate the pandemic that continues to spread all over the world like cancer cells, the depletion of resources, political conflicts, terrorism, global warming and pollution with our collaborations and solutions.” He said and completed his speech.
142 SPEAKERS IN 48 WEBINAR
In EURIE-2021, 142 speakers will address internationalization and digital transformation in higher education, international student mobility in the world, international education programs, Erasmus +, international research and projects, sustainability and access in higher education in a total of 48 online seminars, conferences, meetings and interviews.
In the virtual higher education fair to be organized within the scope of the summit, world universities will meet with participants in nearly 100 stands in 4 halls.
100 PERCENT DOMESTIC VIRTUAL PLATFORM
On the one hand, visitors follow the live broadcast quality presentations and sessions of esteemed international speakers on the 100 percent domestic virtual platform produced by domestic software developers, on the other hand, they will have the opportunity to get information and chat online video with institution officials by visiting all participant institution stands in the virtual fair area on the platform.
In addition, all visitors will take advantage of new cooperation opportunities by exchanging ideas with all other participants in our Networking area, which is also created virtually on the platform.
At the summit, which has the infrastructure to host thousands of visitors at the same time, the visitor satisfaction and experience will be maximized through the live voting to be held during the sessions and the surveys that will continue throughout the summit.

IMAGINE TOMORROW WILL MEET INVESTORS AND ENTREPRENEURS AGAIN
The “Imagine Tomorrow International Entrepreneurship and Innovation Event”, which will be held for the third time this year within the scope of EURIE 2021, will be held online just like EURIE 2021. Imagine Tomorrow, which brought together the most successful 50 ventures among more than 200 applications last year, will bring investors and entrepreneurs together with the concept of “Imagine Now” for three days.
At the Imagine Tomorrow event, this year, 20 entrepreneurship teams selected by a distinguished jury among more than 100 startups will present their ideas to university administrators, entrepreneurs, young entrepreneurs, investors, industrialists and many international visitors at the Imagine Tomorrow Final Stage. At the end of the event, entrepreneurs will have the chance to find new opportunities for their own start-up companies, they will gain different perspectives with the feedback they receive, and they will have the opportunity to access new collaborations and new investment opportunities.
