Prof. Dr. Hayrettin Kılıç İstanbul Üniversitesi Fen Fakültesi Fizik Bölümü’nü bitirdi. Plazma fiziğinin kurucularından biri olan Prof. Dr. Winston Bostik’in danışmanlığında “”Eş Eksenli Plazma Hızlandırıcılarının Optimizasyonu”” (Optimization of Coaxial Plasma Accelerator) konusundaki doktora çalışmasının ardından ABD Yale Üniversitesi Uygulamalı Fizik Bölümü’nde araştırmacı olarak elektromanyetik santrifüj izotop ayrıştırımı ve plazma lazerleri üzerinde araştırmalar yaptı.
ABD Stevens Institute of Technology’de master ve doktorasını tamamlayan Prof. Dr. Kılıç, doktora çalışması sırasında ayrıca, New Jersey Eyaleti’nde PSE&G Elektrik Şirketi’nin araştırma bölümünde fisyon –füzyon hibrit reaktörlerinin fizibilite ve füzyon reaktörlerinin güvenlik projesinde çalıştı. Daha sonra, Stanford Üniversitesi’nde SSRL Ulusal Laboratuvarı’nda araştırmacı olarak, “”Kısadalga Boylu Plazma Lazerleri Geliştirilme Projesi’nde çalıştı. İtalya Ferrara Üniversitesi’ne araştırma profesörü olarak atanan Prof. Dr. Kılıç, “”Eylemsiz Koruma Füzyonu Teorisi””nin (Inertial Confinement Fusion Theory) kurucusu olan Prof. Dr. George Linhart’ın başkanlığında yürütülen “”plasma–liners”” projesinin deneysel sorumlusu olarak çalıştı.
Prof. Dr. Kılıç, şu anda kendisinin ABD New Jersey Eyaleti’nde kurduğu Green Think Tank of Turunc Foundation adlı vakfı yürütüyor. Dr. Mustafa Aydın ile İAÜ ile ilgili çalışmalar hakkında görüşmeler yaptı.

Prof. Dr. Hayrettin Kılıç graduated from İstanbul University Faculty of Science. Under the consultation of one of the founding fathers of Plasma Physics, Dr. Winston Bostik, he finished his “Optimization of Coaxial Plasma Accelerator” doctoral studies. He then went to Yale University Faculty of Applied Physics in the USA as a researcher to research Electromagnetic Centrifuge İsotope Separation and Plasma Lasers.
Prof. Dr. Kılıç completed his master’s and doctorate in US Stevens İnstitute of Technology and at the same time was working together with PSE&G in the state of New Jersey on the fission-fusion hybrid reactor’s feasibility and the security project of the fusion reactors. Later on Prof. Dr. Kılıç went to Stanford University as a researcher and worked on the “Development of Short Wavelength Plasma Lasers” project. He was then assigned to İtaly Ferrari University as a research professor and worked on the experimental project “Plasma-Liners” with the founder of “İnertial Confinement Fusion Theory” Prof. Dr. George Linhart.
Prof. Dr. Kılıç currently runs the foundation he found in the State of New Jersey; “Green Think Tank of Turunc Foundation”. He met Dr. Mustafa Aydın to discuss potential future partnerships the duo could lead.
