Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’ın katılımı ile Haliç Kongre Merkezi’nde İlim Yayma Cemiyeti’nin 65. Kuruluş Yıl Dönemi Töreni ve 61. Olağan Genel Kurul’u gerçekleşti.
Programa; TBMM Başkanı İsmail Erdoğan, İstanbul Valisi Şahin, İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanı Kadir Topbaş, İlim Yayma Cemiyeti Başkanı Yusuf Tülün, eğitim dünyasından İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi Mütevelli Heyet Başkanı Dr.Mustafa Aydın ile çok sayıda davetli katıldı.
Cumhurbaşkanı Erdoğan yaptığı konuşmada; “Terör konusunda çifte standarda şahit oluyoruz. ‘PYD, YPG terör örgütüdür’ diyoruz. ABD Savunma Bakanı ayrı, sözcü ayrı şey söylüyor. Öyleyse bu millet kendi göbeğini kendisi kesecek.” dedi.
“İlim Yayma Cemiyeti’nin tarihi, bu aziz milletin öz evlatlarının hikayesidir.” diyen Cumhurbaşkanı Erdoğan, “Şayet bugün, bir dönem öz yurdunda parya muamelesi görenler, özgür, başı dik ve vakur bir şekilde her alanda ‘Biz de varız’ diyorsa, bu başarıda sizlerin çok büyük katkısı var.” şeklinde konuştu.
Erdoğan; “Ülke genelindeki 151 şubesi, 129 öğrenci yurdu ve 20 bin öğrencisiyle cemiyet (İlim Yayma Cemiyeti), bugün 78 milyonun tamamına hizmet ediyor. Sizler bu çalışmalarınızla milletimizin umudu oldunuz. Sizler bu ülkenin hayat damarlarının kurutulmaya çalışıldığı bir dönemde millete güç ve kuvvet verdiniz.” ifadelerini kullandı.
61st Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Society to Disseminate Knowledge
65th Anniversary of Society to Disseminate Knowledge and 61st Ordinary General Assembly Meeting took place with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at Halic Congress Center.
Among those attending the event were Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Ismail Kahraman, Governor of Istanbul Vasip Sahin, Mayor of Istanbu Metropolitan Municipality Kadir Topbas, President of the Society to Disseminate Knowledge Yusuf Tulun and Istanbul Aydin University President Dr. Mustafa Aydin.
Speaking at the event, President Erdogan said, “We are faced with a double standard on the issue of terrorism. We say that PYD and YPG are terrorist organizations. US Secretary of Defense says one thing, spokesperson says another. In this case, this nation will take matters into its own hand.”
Noting that “the history of the Society to Disseminate Knowledge is a story of this nations sons and daughters,” President Erdogan added, “If today, those who were claimed to be pariahs in their own countries at some point in history can say “ we are here, we are in” with their heads high, independently and in dignity, you have a big part in this achievement.”
“With its 151 branches, 129 student dormitories and 20,000 students the Society to Disseminate Knowlege is serving 78 millions of people today. You became the hope for this nation with your works. You give the strenght and power to our nation during when its lifeblood is being drained.”
