Konferansta Güney Doğu Avrupa Bölgesi ve bölgenin Avrupa Birliği ile Entegrasyonu perspektifinde ekonomik, toplumsal ve siyasal gelişmeleri analiz edildi.
Konferansın ana hedefi bölgedeki uluslararası ve ulusal akademisyenlerin, sivil toplum ve karar alıcıları bir araya getirip, bölgede bulunan ülkelerin Avrupa Entegrasyonuyla ilgili bakış açılarını, küresel kriz karşısında karşılaştıkları zorluklar, bölgenin kentleşmesi ve ekonomisiyle ilgili konuların konuşulması oldu.
Konferans bölgesel bir yaklaşımla Güney Doğu Avrupa’nın ekonomik, siyasal ve toplumsal analizleri üzerinde durulmuştur.
Konferansta, bölgenin finansal ve ekonomik sorunları, özellikle Avro bölgesindeki küresel kriz sonrası dönem, mevcut durum ve gelecekte karşılaşılabilecek zorluklarla birlikte Avrupa Birliği üyesi olmayan Avrupa ülkelerindeki bölgesel gelişmelerin yeni ekonomik yaklaşımlarındaki bakış açıları ele alındı.
Katılımcılar genel olarak, Avrupa Birliği ve üye ülkelerin karşılaştığı zorluklar, toplumsal problemleri minimize etmek için alınan önlemler ve Güney Doğu Avrupa ülkelerinin karşılaştığı krizlere karşı uyguladıkları yöntemler gibi konular üzerinde durdular.
Konferansta bölgede bulunan ülkelerin ulusal alandaki tecrübeleri mukayese edildi. Bununla birlikte ülkeler arasındaki ticaret borsasının ve ticaretin artması ve siyasal ve toplumsal diyaloğun yoğunlaşmasıyla ilgili bölgesel işbirliğini geliştirmek için öneriler sunuldu. Konferansın tematik oturumları boyunca bölgeden temsilciler tarafından 150’den fazla bildiri sunuldu.
EURAS REGIONAL CONFERENCE IN ALBANIA
Eurasian Universities Union organized a conference on, “South East Europe As A Common Market”” in cooperation with Mediterranean University of Albania, attended by more than 100 delegates including Presidents, Rectors, Vice-Rectors from the Eurasian region on 14th – 15th March, 2015 in Tirana, ALBANIA.
The opening speech of conference was made by Prime Minister of Albania/Representative of the Albanian Government HE Edi Rama, President of MUA Prof. Anastas Angjeli, President of EURAS Dr. Mustafa Aydin, President of Academy of Sciences of Albania Muzafer Korkuti, President of European Academy of Sciences and Arts Prof. Dr. Felix Unger, Former Minister of Public Health and Welfare and Former Minister of Tourism of Turkey Bülent Akarcalı.
The topic of the Conference was structured around the analysis of the economical, political and social developments of the South East Europe Region and its EU Integration perspective.
The major objective of the conference was to bring together international and national representatives of academic life, civic society, groups of interest and decision makers in order to discuss about the economic and civic development of the Region and the challenges it faces in the context of global crisis and European Integration perspective of the countries of the region.
The conference focused on the analysis of the economic, political and social developments of South East Europe perceived from a regional approach.
The conference dealt with the issues of the economic and financial situation of the region, the post global crisis period, particularly in the Eurozone, the current and future challenges, the perspective of the regional development in the new economic approaches as well as the European perspective of non EU countries.
Participants discussed on the questions such as, what are the challenges faced by the European Union and its member countries? What measures should be taken in order to minimize social problems? What about South-East European countries, how did they face the crisis and are they undertaking the appropriate reforms?
The Conference dealt with cases from all the countries of the region, national experiences was compared and recommendations was given for deepening the regional economic cooperation, increasing trade and commercial exchanges between countries as well and intensifying the political and social dialogue among countries of the region. During the Thematic Sessions of the conference more than 150 papers were presented by representatives from the region.
