Beylikdüzü Belediyesi ve İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi, Beylikdüzü halkına fayda sağlayabilecek ortak projeler üzerine bir araya geldi. Üniversitenin, Florya Yerleşkesi’nde gerçekleşen buluşmada, birlikte hayata geçirilebilecek projeler üzerine fikir paylaşımında bulunuldu.
ORTAK PROJELER HAYATA GEÇİRİLECEK
Türkiye’nin yerel dinamikleriyle topluma fayda getirmesi noktasında her zaman diyalog halinde olduklarını belirten Üniversite Mütevelli Heyeti Başkanı Dr. Mustafa Aydın, “”Müesseseleri kurmaktan çok yaşatmak önemlidir. Üniversiteler, kendi toprağına ışık veremiyorsa etrafı duvarla çevrili hapishaneden başka bir anlam ifade etmez. Biz birçok kamu, kurum ve kuruluşlarıyla yaptığımız gibi Beylikdüzü Belediyesi ile de ortak projeler hayata geçireceğiz”” dedi.
ÜNİVERSİTELER SÜRECİN İÇİNDE OLACAK
Nüfusun her yıl 10-15 bin düzeyinde arttığı Beylikdüzü’nde, her zaman yenilikleri takip eden bir belediye olacaklarını vurgulayan Beylikdüzü Belediye Başkanı Ekrem İmamoğlu ise, bu noktada üniversiteleri çok önemsediklerini belirterek, “”Biz, İstanbul’un önemli bir merkezi olmaya namzet bir ilçeyiz. İlçenin 25 yılını planlayan bir bakış açısıyla çalışıyoruz. Yerel yöneticiler gelecekte vahlanacak bir şehir olmamak için üniversiteleri mutlaka sürece dahil etmeli”” dedi.
Dr. Mustafa Aydın ile dostluğunun uzun yıllar öncesine dayandığını da belirten Başkan İmamoğlu, Beylikdüzü için birlikte fayda sağlayacak her çalışmaya açık olduklarının mesajını verdi. Toplantı sonunda, Türkiye’nin en büyük limanı ile İstanbul’un önemli iki sanayi bölgesinden birini sınırları içerisinde bulunduran Beylikdüzü Belediyesi ile İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi’nin enerji verimliliği, sağlık, teknoloji, kültür, sanat gibi birçok alanda çalışma yürütebileceklerinin altı çizildi.
Partnership between the Municipality of Beylikduzu and Istanbul Aydin University
Beylikduzu Municipality has partnered up with Istanbul Aydin University to bring new projects to the municipality, discussed in the workshop held recently.
With IAU President Dr. Mustafa Aydin as the host, a very fruitful workshop was held in Florya with the attendance of the Mayor of Beylikduzu Ertem Imamoglu and his cabinet. Both sides decided to form a committee and has decided to start a partnership.
Beylikduzu Municipality and Istanbul Aydin University came together come up with new projects which could benefit the residents of Beylikduzu. In the meeting that took place in IAU’s Florya campus, both sides came up with ideas for the new projects.
Partner Projects will be Brought to Life
Dr. Mustafa Aydin said that they are always in a dialogue to benefit the people with Turkey’s local dynamics and he also said; “”It is more important to let live than to build establishments.”” If universities do not shine a light to their establishment, then it is no different than a prison. Just as we have made partnerships with many organizations, institutions and governmental organizations, we will also work together with the Municipality of Beylikduzu to give birth to new projects and ideas.””
Universities will be included in the process
“”Where the population increases by 10,000-15,000, Beylikduzu, will always be a municipality open to new ideas”” said Mayor Ertem Imamoglu. Imamoglu also stated that Beylikduzu also heeds universities at this point and also said; “”Beylikduzu is a big candidate to become an important center in the city of Istanbul. We are working with a plan for 25 years ahead. Local administrators should include universities in their improvement process unless they want to be regretful.””
Imamoglu, an old friend of Aydin, said that duo are open to any ideas or works that will be beneficial to the municipality of Beylikduzu. After the meeting, Mayor Imamoglu said that as Beylikduzu being a very important municipality for Istanbul with it having the largest port in Turkey and also housing two very key industries, both the Municipality and Istanbul Aydin University can work together on energy productivity, health, technology, culture and art and many more things by forming a partnership.
