Ekovitrin’s 13th Star of the Year Awards were held on 5/7/2014 in Yesilkoy WOW Hotel & Convention Center. UFRAD Franchising Association  was chosen NGO of the Year.

The Stars of the Year Awards attracted people from politics, business world, bureaucracy, local managements, public organizations and institutions, private sector institutions, universities, scientists, brands, social responsibility projects, successful foreign businessmen and distinguished representatives from the business world.

Pieces from Turkish Folk and Turkish Sufi music were presented before iftar in the ceremony held in the Istanbul WOW Hotel.

About 500 people attended the ceremony which was officially opened with the speech of the Group President of Ekovitrin Media Group, Kamuran Abacioglu, who started by congratulating all the award winners and institutions.

As President of UFRAD Franchising Association, Dr. Mustafa Aydın received the NGO of the Year Award. The award was handed to Dr. Aydın by Kosovo Minister of Public Administration, Mahir Yagcilar.

Dr. Mustafa Aydin said in his acceptance speech; “”The most important thing in life is being a good human being and being open to learn more at any stage of your live. Education is the foundation of everything. We, together, carried the franchising sector to the top. We added a new honor to the UFRAD Franchising Association tonight. This victory belongs to all of us.””

He then congratulated everyone who received an award and said, “”We have to be aware of one thing, We are all First human then Jewish, First human then Christian, First human then Muslim. We are all the same””

At the end of the 13th Star of the Year Awards Ceremony night, all the award winners took a family photo.

Istanbul Aydin University students handed the 10th Communication Awards to their recipients personally.

The tenth annual Istanbul Aydin University Communication Awards Survey results have been finalized in April. The results were to be announced to the public on the 26th of May 2014 However, due to the Soma disaster, Istanbul Aydin University cancelled the awards ceremony and dedicated all the awards to all the victims who lost their lives in the disaster.

According to the survey’s results which was voted on by 28,000 students, many people of the media and arts world received awards. The winners of the survey in  23 categories were handed their awards personally by the students of Istanbul Aydin University.
