Eğitimde ihracatın lideri İAÜ oldu
17 sektördeki ilk üç firmanın ödüllendirildiği törende, İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi (İAÜ) ‘Eğitim Alanında En Fazla Hizmet İhracatı Yapan Vakıf Üniversiteleri’ arasında birinci sırada yer aldı. Üniversitenin Mütevelli Heyeti Başkanı Doç. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, ödülü Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’ın elinden aldı.
Türkiye’nin En Büyük 500 Hizmet İhracatçısı İstanbul Kongre Merkezi’nde düzenlenen törenle ödüllerine kavuştu. Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’ın katılımıyla gerçekleşen törende, Cumhurbaşkanı Yardımcısı Fuat Oktay, Ticaret Bakanı Ruhsar Pekcan, Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanı Mustafa Varank, Sağlık Bakanı Fahrettin Koca, Türkiye İhracatçılar Birliği (TİM) Başkanı İsmail Gülle, Hizmet İhracatçıları Birliği Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı İlker Aycı da yer aldı. Türkiye genelinde en çok hizmet ihracatı yapan ilk 10 firma ile 17 sektördeki ilk 3 firmanın ödüllendirildiği törende, bu yıl eğitim alanında en fazla hizmet ihracatı yapan vakıf üniversitesi İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi oldu. Üniversitenin Mütevelli Heyeti Başkanı Doç. Dr. Aydın’a ödülünü Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan takdim etti.
“Tüm alanlarda kurduğumuz güçlü alt yapı bize cesaret veriyor”
Burada yaptığı konuşmasında Türk ekonomisinin tüm alanlarıyla birlikte ihracatta hala hak ettiği seviyenin gerisinde bulunduğunu ancak ihracatı 500 milyar dolara çıkarma hedefine sıkı sıkıya bağlı olduğunu söyleyen Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, “Bunun için küresel rekabette bizi öne çıkartacak şekilde mal ve hizmet üretimimizi artırmamız gerekiyor. Geçtiğimiz 17 yılda demokrasiden hukuka, eğitimden sağlığa, ulaştırmadan enerjiye kadar tüm alanlarda kurduğumuz güçlü alt yapı aynı zamanda bize cesaret ve destek veriyor. Büyük ve güçlü Türkiye hedefine hiç olmadığımız kadar yakınız. Ülkemizin elde ettiği her bir başarı milletimizin geleceğine daha güvenle bakmasını sağlıyor. Hizmet ihracatımız 2002 yılında sadece 14 milyar dolar iken, bu yılın ekim ayı itibariyle yıllık 53 milyar dolara kadar yükseldi. Bu başarıya ulaşmamıza katkı sağlayan mal ve hizmet dahil tüm ihracatçılarımıza gönülden teşekkür ediyorum” ifadelerini kullandı.
“İhracata dayalı büyüme modelinde emin adımlarla ilerliyoruz”
Küresel ekonominin büyük bir dönüşüm geçirdiğini söyleyen Ticaret Bakanı Ruhsar Pekcan, “Önümüzdeki dönemde ancak bu dönüşüme ayak uyduran rekabet gücünü artıracak politikaları geliştirip uygulayabilen ülkeler uluslararası ticarette rekabetçi olabilecekler. Biz de ülke olarak tüm politikalarımızı bu bilinçle oluşturuyor, yatırım, üretim, ihracata dayalı bir büyüme modelinde emin adımlarla ilerliyoruz. Hiç şüphesiz bu yolculuğumuzda en önemli başarı unsurlarından biri de hizmet ticaretidir. Zira sürdürülebilir büyümenin ve ihracatın geliştirilmesinde hizmet ihracatının katkısı yadsınamaz derecede büyüktür. Büyük bir gururla ifade etmek isterim ki hizmet ticaretinde net ihracatçı pozisyonundayız. Dünyanın dört bir köşesinde müteahhitlik, yazılım, dizilerimiz, sağlık hizmetlerimizle ön plana çıkıyoruz” diye konuştu.
“Eğitim alanında şampiyon olduk”
Bugüne kadar hep 2’ncilik ödülünü aldıklarını ve bu yıl 1’nciliğe layık görülmekten mutluluk duyduklarını söyleyen İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi Mütevelli Heyeti Başkanı Mustafa Aydın, “Üniversitemiz kurulduğu günden beri kuruluş felsefesinin temeline uluslararasılaşmayı yerleştirdi. Biz dünya insanı yetiştirmeyi kendine felsefe edinmiş bir üniversiteyiz. Yerel düşünüyorsanız, yerel kararlar alıyorsanız, uluslararası dünyada var olmanız mümkün değildir. Bu çerçevede bugüne kadar çalışmalarımızı sürdürdük. Bugüne kadar hep 2’ncilik ödülünü almıştık ama bu yıl 1’incilik ödülünü aldık. Türkiye’de vakıf üniversiteleri arasında en çok uluslararası öğrenciye sahip bir üniversiteyiz” ifadelerini kullandı.
“Uluslararası öğrenciler fahri büyükelçimiz oluyor”
500 civarında dünya üniversitesi ile de iş birliği yaptıklarını vurgulayan Aydın, “Uluslararası öğrenci sadece bu ülkede eğitim gören birey olarak kalmıyor. Kendi ülkesine gittiği zaman bu ülkenin tanıtımını yapıyor. O ülkede iş yapan insanlara insan kaynağı oluşturuyor. Bu ülkenin fahri büyükelçisi olarak ömür boyu kendi ülkesinde, bu ülkeye hizmet ediyor. Yetmiyor, çocuklarını ya da arkadaşlarını da gönderiyor. Siz onlarla ömür boyu sürecek bir köprü oluşturmuş oluyorsunuz. Biz şuna inandık, ‘Eğitimciler önde giderse ekonomistler, siyasiler daha doğru aydınlanır.’ Kültürel ve tarihsel olarak da daha iyi aydınlanırsınız ama işin başı eğitimdir. Dolayısıyla bu anlamda İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi bu çalışmalara öncülük yaptığından, bu yıl da Türkiye’de eğitim alanında hizmet ihracatında şampiyon olduğundan, gerçekten çok gururluyum. Burada rektörümüzün, dekanlarımızın, özellikle uluslararası öğrenci ofisinde, uluslararası ilişkilerde çalışan arkadaşlarımızın emeği çok büyüktür. Ben onlara hem ülkem, hem insanlık, hem de öğrencilerim adına şükranlarımı sunuyorum” dedi.
IAU has become the leader of education
Turkey’s 500 largest exporter of services organized by the services exporters association for the 4th time this year. The President of the Board of Trustees Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Aydın received the award from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Turkey’s 500 Largest Exporter of Services received their awards in a ceremony held in Istanbul Congress Center. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Vice President Fuat Oktay, Minister of Commerce Ruhsar Pekcan, the Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca, the President of Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) İsmail Gülle, President of the Board of Service Exporters’ Association İlker Aycı. The first 10 companies engaged in exporting most services in Turkey and Top 3 companies in 17 sectors were awarded at this ceremony, the foundation university which exports the most services in the field of education was Istanbul Aydın University this year. The President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan presented the award to the President of the Board of Trustees of the University.
“Our strong infrastructure in all areas encourages us”
Saying that the Turkish economy, with all its areas, is still below the level it deserves in exports, but we are firmly committed to the goal of increasing exports to $ 500 billion, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed that “For this, we need to increase our production of goods and services in a way that highlights us in global competition. The strong infrastructure that we have established in all fields from democracy to law, education, health, transportation and energy in the last 17 years gives us courage and support. We are closer than ever to the target of big and powerful Turkey. Our export of services was only 14 billion dollars in 2002 and rose to 53 billion dollars as of October this year. I wholeheartedly thank all of our exporters including goods and services that contributed to our success.”
“We are taking firm steps in export-oriented growth model”
Minister of Commerce Ruhsar Pekcan said that the global economy is undergoing a major transformation and “Only countries that can develop and implement policies that will increase the competitiveness that keep pace with this transformation will be competitive in international trade in the coming period. We, as a country, create all our policies with this awareness. We are taking firm steps forward in a growth model based on investment, production and export. Undoubtedly, one of the most important success factors in this journey is the service trade. Because, the contribution of services exports in the development of sustainable growth and exports is undeniably large. I proudly announce that we are exporters in service trade in no uncertain terms. We came to the forefront with our construction business, software, TV shows and health services around the world.”
“We became champions in education”
Expressing that they always received the 2nd prize and they are happy to be awarded 1st place this year, the President of the Board of Trustees of Istanbul Aydın University Mustafa Aydın said “Our university has placed internationalization at the heart of its founding philosophy since its foundation. We are a university that has adopted a philosophy to educate the people of the world. If you think locally, you make local decisions, you cannot exist in the international world. In this context, we have continued to work until today. We always received the 2nd prize, but this year we received the 1st prize. We are the foundation university with the highest number of international students in Turkey”.
“International students become our honorary ambassadors”
Emphasizing that they have cooperated with around 500 world universities, Aydın said, “International students are not only individuals studying in this country. When s/he goes to his/her own country, s/he promotes this country. It creates human resources for people doing business in that country. As the honorary ambassador of this country, s/he serves this country for life in his/her own country. Moreover, s/he sends his/her children or friends. You create a bridge with them that will last a lifetime. We believed that ‘If educators go ahead; economists, politicians will be enlightened more accurately.’ You are better enlightened culturally and historically, but education is the beginning. Therefore, I am very proud of that Istanbul Aydın university has pioneered these studies and became the champion in the export of services in the field of education in Turkey this year. Our Rector, Deans and especially our colleagues working in international relations worked a lot. I express my gratitude to them in the name of my country, humanity and my students.”
