Uluslararası Eğitimciler Fuarı (NAFSA) nedeniyle ABD’de bulunan İAÜ Mütevelli Heyeti Başkanı Doç. Dr. Mustafa Aydın Maryland Eyaleti Dışişleri Bakanı John Wobensmith ile buluştu. Türkiye’deki eğitim fırsatlarını Wobensmith ile paylaştı.
NAFSA fuarı nedeniyle ABD’de bulunan İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi Mütevelli Heyeti Başkanı Doç. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Maryland Eyaleti Dış İşleri Bakanı John Wobensmith’e ziyarette bulundu.
Ziyarette Türkiye’deki yükseköğrenim fırsatlarını Bakan ile paylaşan Aydın, iki ülke arasında ticari ilişkilerin önemini vurgulayan bir konuşma yaptı. Doç. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, “Türkiye ile ABD ilişkileri kuruluşumuzdan bugüne önemini arttırarak devam ediyor. Cumhurbaşkanımız Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’ın hedeflediği 75 milyar dolarlık ticaret hacmine yaklaşabilmemiz için bizlere büyük rol düşüyor. Sayın Bakana ülkemizdeki eğitim fırsatlarını ve yapabileceğimiz karşılıklı yatırımları anlattım. Verimli bir buluşma oldu” ifadelerini kullandı.

Sharing higher education opportunities in Turkey with the secretary during the visit, Aydın made a speech emphasizing the importance of trade relations between the two countries. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın said “The relation between Turkey and the US continues to increase its importance since our establishment. We have an important role to play in approaching our president Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s $ 75 billion trade target. I explained to the Secretary the educational opportunities in our country and the mutual investments we can make. It was a productive meeting.”
